Where's John Galt when you need him?

I stumbled across this poll linked on Instapundit.  The ABC poll makes a reference to people earning over 250k who lower their earnings to avoid additional taxes as being tax "dodgers".  I'm about 200 pages from finishing Atlas Shrugged and it's things like this that scare the crap out of me.  I recently mentioned to a lib friend of mine that I was reading Atlas Shrugged and his wife, who's ultra liberal (you know who you are), suggested that it was a silly book filled with paranoid delusions.  After all, that can't possibly happen in real life!

It's happening.  And quickly.  I still think it can't go as far as the book does before a lot of people revolt. But then again, Hitler's Germany is simply inconceivable unless you were living in it.

As far as my own choice to not exceed $250k...I can only hope to have that problem!  :)
